About Us

Lois has over 15 years experience in the beauty industry. Her passion for the job started at college in 2008 when completing her Beauty Therapist NVQ level 2 & 3 qualification. After a few years, she went on to extend her Waxing knowledge and trained with the elite worldwide known brand Lycon Wax. Gaining her Waxing Specialist title. As her clientele grew Lois expanded her services and converted her training with another well known brand The Gel Bottle to gain all up to date knowledge for Nails. Lois has been able to showcase her creative flare through the nails she creates. Skincare has played a big part in Lois’ career and she is trained to a high standard, offering Medical Grade Facials, including Microneedling and Chemical Peels.

Further to this, Lois now has VTCT Level 3 Education & Training certification and has become a Lycon Wax Trainer. Offering training days to other therapists wanting to gain the same waxing title. She also offers her own 1-1 Beginners Waxing course accredited by Beauty Industry Approval for those just stepping into the industry wanting to gain waxing knowledge to a high standard.

Hair Removal is a big passion of Lois’ and she has brought into her salon Laser Hair Removal. This is proving hugely popular and is a fantastic treatment for clients looking for long-term hair removal. All in all, Lois is a dedicated, passionate and knowledgeable Beauty Practitioner and welcomes all clients with open arms.

Laser hair removal

Laser hair removal is a cosmetic procedure that uses a concentrated beam of light (laser) to remove unwanted hair.
During laser hair removal, a laser emits a light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. The light energy is converted to heat, which damages the tube-shaped sacs within the skin (hair follicles) that produce hairs. This damage inhibits or delays future hair growth.
Although laser hair removal effectively delays hair growth for long periods, it usually doesn't result in permanent hair removal. Multiple laser hair removal treatments are needed for initial hair removal, and maintenance treatments might be needed as well. Laser hair removal is most effective for people who have light skin and dark hair, but it can be successfully used on all skin types.
For permanent hair reduction to be successful on average you will need between 8 to 12 sessions but as we are all unique this can differ from person to person. All laser hair removal treatments require a patch test and consultation prior to the first session.

Lycon Wax

Using only the finest wax, natural ingredients and oils, Lycon delivers superior results, removing stubborn hair as short as 1mm.
The elite Lycon brand offers a choice of Hot Wax, Strip Wax and Lycon’s unique Lycojet waxes. This cocktail of waxes are used for different parts of the body and allow the removal to be quick, with minimal pain and redness.
An oil is applied to the skin ensuring the Lycon wax only targets the unwanted hair and leaves skin soft and smooth with no sticky residue.

Nails

We use the well known gel polish brand The Gel Bottle. All nail services include cuticle and nail tidy, paint and cuticle oil.

Nail Art is available on booking. All art is handpainted and must be booked when your appointment is made to ensure there is enough time to carry out this extra service.
